The Dangers of Sugar
Join us for an eye-opening workshop on understanding sugar and its impact on your health. Participants will learn about the dangers of excessive sugar consumption, how it’s processed in the body, and its connection to Type II diabetes. The session will also cover how to identify different types of sugar, compare the recommended daily allowance to average consumption, and read nutrition labels effectively. Free Health-focused Workshops for Kids!
The Health Education for Life Project now offers kids-oriented health workshops. These workshops are 100% free of charge and cover topics such as healthy eating habits, hygiene and sanitation practices.
We aim to make these topics fun and engaging for kids ages 6-10. Workshops include interactive activities and hands-on learning.

Can anyone attend?This depends on the workshop location. Some of our partners prefer we limit the guest list, and some will allow or open RSVPs. If you have received an email with an RSVP link or notice there is an open RSVP on the website, that means you CAN attend!

Where are these events located?All events are currently location in Houston, Texas. However, we are open to facilitating events in the Greater Houston area.

Is it free to attend?Yes! We aim to make our workshops accessible to anyone who has an interest in the topic. We hope to help participants increase their understanding of these topics as much as possible!

What can I expect?The workshops will be around 60 minutes in total. When you arrive, you can expect a warm and inviting atmosphere with tables and chairs, some soft drinks and snacks, and possibly some materials related to the topic.
